It features a large studio and gallery, plus a 50ft. wood fired kiln at it's current location in Various local publications have featured Claire's work, most recent of which is an article in the Spring 2000 issue of "At The Lake", Geneva Lakes Area Magazine.

Completing her studies at the University of Denver, Colorado and obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1969, Claire spent the next three years studying under Betty Woodman in Boulder Colorado. In 1975 she began her apprenticeship serving under Pierre Mestre, in La Borne, France. From 1976 thru 1987 potter Claire Bailey traveled and exhibited extensively throughout England, France, Germany, and Switzerland. During this time she also established studios in La Borne, France with Jean-Jacques De Fumichon and John Bailey. They constructed numerous kilns at various locations across France, including several 2- chambered catenary arched kilns, while focusing on the production of Stoneware and Rakuware. In 1987, an extensive six page article was published by "La Revue de la Ceramique et du Verre", #34 featuring work of John and Claire Bailey. |

In 1992 Claire and John Bailey opened an additional studio in Milwaukee, WI. Located acros from St. Josephs Basilica on Lincoln Avenue and 7th Street, Lincoln Art Pottery shows a large variety of pottery from various artists and features many fine exhibits by Claire. |
