Each year students from around the world compete for the annual apprenticeship which potter Claire Bailey offers. 

Previous apprentices have come from Switzerland, Ireland, New Zealand, France, and El Salvador.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated and interested in learning all aspects of operating the studio and shop, as well as perfecting throwing and glazing skills.
